In his career as a graphic designer, not only does Austin want to get paid for doing what he loves, but also make graphics with a good purpose. He got a great start in that with his internship for the Department of Veterans Affairs and hopes to continue it as long as he has a career in Graphic Design.
Austin is proficient in multiple programs featured in the creative cloud, such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects and Premiere. The services he can provide range from Print, such as Book Layout, Poster Design, and Stationary Sets (Business Card, Envelope, Letterhead) to Web, such as Logos, Infographics, Website, to Illustrations (Hand Rendered and Web Rendered), and much more.
Austin is currently working as a Graphic Designer for Holland & Knight, where he works with the firm's other Graphic Designers in the creation and production of graphic design and creative services projects in the law firm's Marketing Department. This position requires knowledge of design and computer applications to assist the design team in creating the firm's marketing materials.
Austin previously worked as the Graphic Designer/Production Manager & Social Media Manager for Law Business Media, where he was tasked with developing and managing graphic design projects for the Law Business Media suite of products, which include but were not limited to sales and marketing collateral, social media efforts, and their publications.
Austin also previously was the Department Head of Graphic Design for the Department of Veterans Affairs' Digital Media Engagement Internship, where he created graphics for the VA's social media platforms as well as reviewed graphics from other designers on the team.
Austin earned his Bachelors of Graphic/Information Design from Central Connecticut State University in 2021. Austin has also earned the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America, the rank of Eagle Scout. Earning the rank of Eagle Scout took over a decade of hard work and commitment to the program.
What is unique about Austin’s design style is that he is always “working inside the box while thinking outside of the box.” He says that because he tries to employ the basic principles of design, while also stretching the boundaries and trying things he hasn’t done before.
When Austin isn’t doing Graphic Design work, he can most likely be found hanging out with friends, whether it be in the real world, or in the virtual world. His favorite thing to do is go on adventures, as he is a very experiential person. He likes going out to eat, going to concerts, going to theme parks, or taking trips to places he’s never been before. He likes anything that breaks up the monotony of regular life and makes his day better.
Austin is a very hard-working individual who is extremely driven. He commits himself to ensuring that every design he works on is of the highest quality, and that they are produced in a timely manner.
